Lincoln High "Links" Marching Competition

ITINERARY

Saturday, October 11

3:00 pm Rehearsal at KHS. Load uniforms on the truck upon arrival.

4:45 pm Load buses with hats, instruments and bodies.

5:00 pm Depart for Lincoln. You will eat your sack-dinner at this time.

8:00 pm Approximate arrival in Lincoln. Change into uniform at this time.

8:45 pm Warm up.

9:30 pm KHS performs.

9:45 pm End of performance. Change out of uniforms at this time and load the buses.

10:30 pm Go back into the stadium and watch the remainder of the competition.

11:00 pm AWARDS CEREMONY

12:00 am Load buses and leave for KHS.

3:00 am Approximate arrival at KHS.
Everyone help unload the trucks and clean buses.

Parents & Fans: Check the LPS/LHS Maps and the Google Map for a map of Lincoln.
Lincoln High School is located at 2229 'J' Street in Lincoln, Nebraska. The school is generally bounded by 21st Street, Randolph By-Pass, and Capitol Parkway. LHS is approximately 7 blocks east of the State Capitol.
From Eastbound I-80: Take the Highway 77 (West Bypass) exit south to Capitol Parkway. Turn left(east) on Capitol Parkway. Proceed past the Capitol Building and LHS is located on the right side of Capitol Parkway at 22nd Street.

THINGS TO REMEMBER

Make sure you have your entire uniform.

2. Be sure you have everything for your instrument.

___Reeds ___Mouthpiece ___Valve Oil

3. We are representing Kearney High School. All rules and regulations of KHS apply. There is to be no profanity, smoking, drinking or any other inappropriate behavior at all. ABOVE ALL, BE THE CLASSIEST BAND AROUND. BE POLITE, RESPECTFUL, AND MODEST!!!

4. You must ride the bus to and from the competition. If you want to ride home with your parents, you need to provide Mr. Svoboda with a signed, written note prior to October 10th.

5. No make-up or jewelry is to be worn with the uniform. This includes watches. The only unit that may wear make-up is the Color Guard.

6. Hair is to be worn above the collar. If your hair needs to be pony-tailed, it should then be worn inside the hat. Bring whatever necessary to accomplish this.

7. Bring a sack lunch for the bus ride on the way down.

8. Dress appropriately for the evening. October evenings can be quite chilly.

9. DEPARTURE TIMES ARE FIRM. WE HAVE SCHEDULED THE DAY TO ACCOMMODATE YOU, THE PLAYER, AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE. DO NOT BE LATE!
