ITINERARY

 

 

Friday, October 13, 2006

 

3:30 pm        Load equipment truck at KHS for the exhibition performance
NO UNIFORMS AT THIS TIME!
Just pit instruments and carts.

6:00 pm        Warm-up at UNK Fine Arts.

7:00 pm        Football Game

9:00 pm        Game is over. LOAD UNIFORMS INTO EQUIPMENT TRUCK!!!

 

 

Saturday, October 14

 

9:00 am          Rehearsal at KHS.

10:00 am        Load buses with hats, instruments and bodies. Have a lunch for the bus ride.

10:30 pm        Depart for Lincoln.

1:30 pm           Approximate arrival at Seacrest Field. Get into uniform at this time.

2:00 pm          Tuning APVI.

2:30 pm          Warm up.

3:15 pm           Kearney High performs.

3:30 pm           End of performance.  Change out of uniforms at this time and go back into the stadium.

4:00 pm           Early “Fall Ball” bus departs for KHS.

5:30 pm           AWARDS CEREMONY

6:30 pm           Load buses and depart for Gateway Mall for dinner.

8:00 pm           Depart Lincoln for KHS.

10:30 pm        Approximate arrival at KHS. 
                        Everyone help unload the truck and clean buses.

 

 


THINGS TO REMEMBER

 

  1. Make sure you have your entire uniform.

___Coat      ___Pants              ___Hat    ___Gauntlets     ___Gloves     ___Shoes     
___Black socks     ___Shorts to wear under uniform

           

2. Be sure you have everything for your instrument.

            ___Reeds            ___Mouthpiece            ___Valve Oil

 

3. We are representing Kearney High School. All rules and regulations of KHS apply. There is to be no profanity, smoking, drinking or any other inappropriate behavior at all. ABOVE ALL, BE THE CLASSIEST BAND AROUND. BE POLITE, RESPECTFUL, AND MODEST!!!

 

4. You must ride the bus to and from the competition. If you want to ride home with your parents, you need to provide Mr. Svoboda with a signed, written note prior to October 12th.

 

5. No make-up or jewelry is to be worn with the uniform. This includes watches. The only unit that may wear make-up is the Color Guard.

 

6. Hair is to be worn above the collar. If your hair needs to be pony-tailed, it should then be worn inside the hat. Bring whatever necessary to accomplish this.

 

7. Bring a lunch for the bus ride and bring money for food at the mall.

 

8. DEPARTURE TIMES ARE FIRM. WE HAVE SCHEDULED THE DAY TO ACCOMMODATE YOU, THE PLAYER, AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE. DO NOT BE LATE!
