The Kearney Bearcat Marching Band invites you to come and watch our performance at competitions in Columbus, Lincoln and NSBA, as well as the half-time shows at the home football games at Foster Field on the UNK campus in Kearney. Check our Band Schedule page for other times and places to watch the Pride of Kearney, the Bearcat Marching Band! The Kearney High School Bearcat Marching Band endeavors to provide every student the opportunity to further his/her music interests and talents and to participate in a highly visible and quality performing group. It is our desire and goal to progress to a higher level of knowledgeable performance. Controlled self-expression is required to make music come alive, and students who engage in this activity learn that working together is mandatory. Through the development of our talents in an effort to express emotional ideas to others, we learn many habits. Some of the habits exhibiting mutual caring, showing cooperation and respect, exhibiting self-discipline, using and improving your talents and fostering an open and curious mind.
